Default New Tires

Anybody on here have these tires on their Rs or L? If so, did you have problems? They look pretty good for the price. One of the reviews on the site for this tire was by someone who owns a WRX and they appear to have no current problems.

those look pretty decent.... i never had any experience with dunlop though. they're a pretty big name in tires, so they might be a safe bet though.

yea thats what i was pretty much thinking. I currently have a Firestone Firehawks model on there now and i saw a firehawk all season model online and compared the two from the same site and both had the same exact rating except the dunlops had a AA traction rating.

BTW, i had no problems with the Firestone Firehawks if anyone is ever thinking about getting that make/model/series

I bought 4 Dunlop SP Sport Signature (H&V) tires for my 02/03 WRX rims in a size of 205/55/16. The complete list of stats and other sizes for this tire are located here:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes but, ill tell you a little bit about what ive found out about this tire. It is a High Performance All Season Tire with a speed rating of "91V", a treadwear rating of "460", a traction rating of "AA", and a Temperature rating of "A". Also the tire is a directional tire so if you install them yourself, make sure you have the correct sidewall(s) facing inside and out. This is display in text, not any type of directional arrow icon. Lastly, theres been a lot of talk around my area on expiration dates for tires bc there had at one time been an increase in fatalities due to tire blowouts. The creation date for this tire is shown on the outside of the sidewall right after the DOT #. It is broken down into 2 numbers. Here is an example of how it is displayed on my particular tire: "08/10". The first number indicates the week number that the tire was created. Usually going to 52 max, so i was told. The second number being the year. So my tires were made during the 8th week of 2010. I was informed that tires can usually be 3 years old and still be brand new and safe to use if the tires were stored properly. If you have doubts about the tires ability or expiration, Id contact the company and ask, or just ask the shop to provide you with a newer tire. I hope that this helps anyone looking for future tires.

Review: I have only had them on my car for 2 hours, but I did notice that the ride was extremely smooth on my way home.

PS: I am not nor do I claim to be an expert on tires. The information I have provided is based on my research of this particular tire from tirerack.com and from my talking to the owner/employee of the shop I took wheels to get replaced.
